Need feedback on my new website

Hi everyone,
I have created a new website to rebrand myself as a web designer and developer. As it is only a few days old I would like to seek some constructive feedback about the usability and ease of navigation about the site etc. My website can be visited by going to www.interkiwiwebdevelopers.com.

I have made sure that my website validates its html and css as per w3c regulations, meets W.A.I priority 1 and 2, and also meets accessability standards through wave.webaim.com.

I am thinking of doing a link exchange page for the site, but only link exchange with other websites in a similar industry (for getting targeted visitors).

My last website was pretty poor which is why I took it down. To be able to improve my site I need opinions otherwise it is a much harder job making the site acceptable for "everyone".

too bad you didn't post a link to your site per BHW regulations. you might want to mask that link a little

It's easy to use, but it's ugly. Sorry, but it looks like it's made in '98. What you could do is try to make it a little more 2.0.

Thanks for your opinion. It's just early days at the moment. I plan to bring some interactive features to the site, like a blog talking about good web design practises etc. I am going to steadily redevelop it over the coming months together with my studies.

Have thought of including an on-site forum and social networking part of the site, I know it'll take some time but I'll get there...

I agree it is ugly. It does have simplicity of style, which is a good web 2.0 design element, but that doesn't mean there can't be any pizazz at all. This page just has a very boring design and the colors give it a kind of dingy look.

It might be fine for a lot of niches, but not for a web design site. If you are going to market a web design service, your own webpage should really stand out as a great example of your work.

You need a better color setup and the picture under portfolio has a really slow load time you might want to make that pic file smaller. Good luck man

The website does not really do anything for me. The webpage depresses me and the copy is very dull.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but you did ask for opinions. I recommend you look at your competitors websites and look how they do it!

A little bit of plagiarism would not go a miss!
