Need detail information for codeen // planetlab proxy

Friends, I need to know how i can use codeen//PlanetLab proxy. I've never use this type of proxies before so i need detail information on regarding. I want to use them for downloading full text articles from journals for my study purpose. Is there any tool which check whether codeen//planetlab proxy working or not ?. I know, on this forum highly skilled persons are available which can help me for solve my problem.

i no charon proxy checker removes cod/p.lab proxies
unsure if u can keep them after let me see
have dealt with them in a while but as i recall most
p.labs were on port 3128
