Need BH method to make user keep window open

I am attempting some traffic arbitrage and have found a potential profitable way to do so. I am sending traffic via popunders but having an issue basically I need the user to stay on the page for 10 second. So far only about 8% of visitors are.
Can anyone point to me in the right direction to force a user to stay on a page or keep it open for x amount of time. Any script hack black hat method at all really open to all suggestions

You are trying to hijack browsers? I am not a technical guy.

As a normal web user, don't do this.

Other than playing with the content on the page to keep the user interested, anything else would be illegal and against forum policy.

I am not looking to do anything ilegal asuch just like stop the close button from working for a few seconds

Which involves taking control of their browsers ergo mishandling someone else’s property = illegal.
