So i began and build a website focused on amazon, I have theme and plugin which helps, the problem is the plugin uses add to cart. In order to be redirected to amazon, a user has to-> add to cart->then view cart-> then proceed to checkout(this redirects to amazon) . It redirects direct to amazon checkout not the product itself.

    This are my stats

Do you think the problem it is solely ''the add to cart'', would have been better the''buy it''? Also from those 4 redirects two were made by me to test the plugin!
Can it be that they don't see the view cart?it is on top of the product!

I need some advice, especially from guys who also do amazon sites. Site is multi-niche!

    Thanks

That's because the visitor thinks that they are buying the product directly from you, but when you redirect them to Amazon, they're confused/surprised.

I have tried to add E-commerce twists for Amazon Affiliate sites tonnes of times and my conversion rate has always been shit. I'd say you get rid of the whole shopping cart thingy and go the old-fashioned way.

Edit: By the way, my conversion rate wasn't even that shit like your's. Is your traffic even targeted?

Thanks brad, I thought the same that they wanted to buy from my site but the there would have been more redirects, curios is that are alot of add to cart but no redirects. That mean that they added products to cart didn't ->view cart->proceed to checkout. My traffic was kind of targeted. I actually targeted only one niche, and ended that my most added product was from another niche!

Does Amazon accept new created sites or blogs ? I thought you need a lot of visitors to be accepted.

After you make your first conversion they check your website and traffic. You have 90 or 180 days time to make your first conversion i do not remember exactly

With Amazon you only have 24 hours where you earn a commission on any purchase. If they add the item to their cart then that item or items will pay out if they purchase in 60 or 90 days.

Protip: Don't automatically add stuff to the user's cart. Your only concern should be to get users to Amazon through your link. On my Amazon network of sites, less than half of the products purchased are the ones that they clicked on from my site and I couldn't care less.

Ofcourse it is about sending them to amazon, anyway here I think is a problem with user behaviour, maybe the ux has a problem only this can explain why they press add to cart but not view cart in order to checkout...I will speak to the developer in order to make a pop-out with see your cart or redirect them to checkout, if this does not work i will change the whole add to cart system with buy it now buttons

Never use add-to-cart options with Amazon it just kills conversions. Use and test different call-to-actions to get them to Amazon. Also there is huge difference for CTR where you place your call-to-action buttons/texts.

    Cheers

I do not know to put a cart pop up first to see how it goes or to change it directly to buy it now

Remove the "cart" step, set simple buttons with good call to action do some split test with different buttons. Also make sure that the customer knows that your are Amz aff and they will end up buying from Amz.
Drive the visitor to Amazon in the shortest possible way.

I think you should clearly show your visitor they are going to buy product from amazon from the beginning. The multiple redirect before buying is a conversion killer for sure.
The buy it now button should be something like :

By removing the surprise of the amazon redirect, you'll probably gain trust.

Let them know clearly that you are sending them to Amazon.. Dont try to trick them into thinking that you are selling it and when it redirects, it sort of loses your trust.. I am not saying that it wont work, but conversion would be really low and you will have to send a huge amount of traffic to have conversion.. So make it clear to them that you are sending them amazon and chances of conversion too increase and you wouldnt waste too much of your traffic too..

With an increase of aprox 700 views redirects grew significantly to 79 from 5. This happened after I changed everything to ''buy it now from amazon''. D

Any plans for when the traffic slows down or stops because you haven't built up a email list to sell products to?

I have the email list in my plans! will implement it the next week. I also now want to do SEO I already wrote the plan for it. I like to write it before doing. This also helps when building sites in the future. I will concentrate on SEO off page for now, because I did only very, very little seo for this site.

EDIT: the site is one month old...so is plenty to do
