Need Advice with TrafficTravis

Hi,

I have some keywords with around 150k exact searches. I analyzed it with TrafficTravis and the competition said "medium difficulty". Is it then worth to work on it? When TT says: "medium difficulty" or "difficulty" should I try to work with it?

search in your browser and take a look at what websites are in first page (any high authority(like wikipedia, youtube ecc)?). Analyze pages and take a look at PageRank, BLs to page and to Domain, and if keyword is in title, url, description and head.

I find Traffic Travis difficulty scores highly inaccurate so I would do further research. Look at backlinks to site, page, and Page Rank.

Don't go much on the "difficulty" in TT. Use it to check the top 10 competition, which is the most important part.

As others mentioned, do manual research. TT has its uses, but its ratings seem a bit off.

Have a look at the thread The Absolute Newbie's Guide To Keyword Research by macdonjo3. I found this a great starting point.
