Not an expert but I will try to answer some.
Question 01 : WordPress - Great choice if you want to do some kind of blog publishing reviews of products you're promoting. Also, WordPress is great platform to build Simple Website featuring your promoted products. TL;DR, Great all-around platform with wide customization settings, I would go with WordPress.
Question 02 : Impossible to answer without knowing your needs. And there is no "the best theme", everybody have a different taste. Is it gonna be a landing page, blog, or something else? However, here's a good site for a free WordPress themes. You can find more on Google.
Question 03 : People are not willing to give out such a huge pointers for free. Good product selection determines if you are going to succeed. To choose the product, look on what is trending. Use Twitter, Google Trend, etc. Fashion Jewelry - huuuge competition because of big commissions. Choose less competetive niche for starters.
Question 04 : SEO takes a lot of knowledge, time and investments. Try to use social media traffic for starters. Pinterest - they recently started banning aggressive advertisers, so be subtle and it may drive you a decent traffic. Instagram - Similar to Pinterest, use multiply accounts, do not spam aggressively. Facebook - Use groups to promote. Twitter - Not really converting traffic but might worth a shot. To get followers Follow and Unfollow people, ~30 % (read this somewhere, can't say for sure) of people you followed will start followi you back. However, getting mass traffic is the biggest struggle of them all. It is a lot easier to monetize the traffic than to get it in first place.

ANS1ersonally I use Wordpress.
ANS2: Any review theme would do the work.
ANS3: I choose products about $300 and less competition in Google.
ANS4: Pure Organic visitors.

2: I like the Divi theme from elegantthemes.com (it is a paid theme) or the free WP default Twenty Fifteen theme
3: I would choose a product from the electronics or home improvement niche

Question 02: Doesn't matter. Choose the ones that you like. Personal preference really. Although I will also use paid themes.

Question 03: Generally I would chose a high price item. $100 and above. Doesn't matter which category. What you want to do is to make sure that the keywords are low in competition and also don't forget to check the trends. Some keywords are seasonal while some keywords have a steady trend. Question 04: Either you learn it yourself or you outsource. Up to you.
