Need Advice - to make a life changing decision

It's for my friend ( we met online ), he's from India and he is good at coding ( he told me so, I haven't seen any of his works ). At present he got an chance to migrate to Canada, depending on his present conditions I would surely recommend it. But he have to give up his passion.

I cannot say to him that " life is like that mate, we wish for one thing and get the other ". But I cannot also say to him to follow his passion ( surely I wish I could ). Dosen't know if he will conquer his dream. ( It's my concern )

I really care about him and I don't want him to see lost and crippled at the end.

I really need your advice.

If his passion is coding what would stop him doing that after he'll move to Canada? Programming is a task that you can do anywhere if you have a pc/laptop and internet connection.

Wherever you go still you can carry on your passion! All you need is prepared and self-belief mind!

Changing into a place within country is itself a difficult one and moving to the other continent is something up to the mind i would say! But am sure he will get lot of positives!

Nothing is permanent. He could go to Canada e see how he feels once he is there.
He can start with any job (I assume he has a job offer or some sort of skills visa?) and after some time, once he is settled, he can do something else. He can follow his passion, he can code, start a business, or do anything else?
Sometimes life seems complicated but most decisions can be changed if you choose to do so.

hey, I was planing to say the same thing to him.

Even as waiter in a restaurant in Canada, he would have a better life than in India. Unless he comes from a wealthy family
