Hi Fellow BHW,

This is my first thread. Even though been registered way back 2013 but just realize that this forum is super extraordinary with a lot of information that will help anyone who start their online business.

Back to the main point, I got some question here that needs advice from SEO practitioner here in this lovely forum.

So I have a post in my site that have rank 75 in google so far with specific keyword. Let say the keyword is: bathroom mirror design ideas

But the link that is rank by that keyword is this link [LINK A]: mywebsite.com/bathroom-small-mirror-design-ideas

While I have another post in my website which have the exact keyword which is [LINK B]: mywebsite.com/bathroom-mirror-design-ideas

So what is the best SEO practice on this situation? Should I redirect the LINK A to LINK B to have the exact keyword as the exact post or just leave as it is?

Please advice. Thank you!

Both of those URL's look like they are covering the same topic. So why not stick with what Google seems to prefer, and redirect Link B to Link A?

If you insist for some reason on having Link B rank, then you can also redirect Link A to it. Doesn't seem to really matter here.

HOWEVER, if you end up creating a child page, then you can do as such:

Link B - parent page topic: bathroom mirror design ideas
Then on this page you link out to all the child pages below w optimized anchor:

Link A - small bathroom mirror design ideas
Link C - medium bathroom mirror design ideas
Link D - large bathroom mirror design ideas

All child pages should link back to parent page w optimized anchor.

That's really make sense. Thank you so much for your advice. Really appreciate it.
