(Need advice)Public speaking.

Hello everyone.
2 days from now I have to make a speech in front of a huge audience that knows their shit.
It would include a couple of politicians,lawyers & a shit ton of law/military/etc students.
I got selected but I was just playing around & if I don't do it now a lot of people get in trouble.
I have made my presentation & written my script but I'm scared as fuck atm.
As I'm typing thinking about it my hands are shaking & for the first time in my life I like autocorrect.
I have spoken on stage before but it was in front of mostly friends & people I've seen for a long time.
Help me out..how do I do it?
I really don't want to faint on stage.:weep:

Solid advice above. Make sure you know what you're talking about above all. If you are certain of what you are saying, it makes it a lot easier to present because you become somewhat of an authority on the matter, like others that may be in the crowd. Also, politicians and lawyers aren't any better than you are. You are every bit as good as anyone out there, don't forget it. If you want to win the crowd over quickly, bring some energy on stage, smile a lot and you can even make a quick joke at the beginning of your speech to win everyone over.

I understand that you are in a position you didn't really want to be in, but now that you're there, you might as well make the best of it. If these people are used to boring people going on stage and making lame presentations, change it up and try to be energetic. It could land you a bunch of contacts for your career and open doors for you that you didn't even think existed.

It's a lot like the first time you ask out a girl... You're super nervous and akward and once it's done, you can't believe how silly you were about something so simple. I have done speeches in front of crowds (biggest crowd being over 10,000 at the staples center) and it's always the same results but amplified. As stated above, I always go out there thinking that no one is better than anyone else and I come up with a solid joke that always gets a reaction at the beginning just to make the bond. If I present something boring, I try to throw in funny anecdotes to keep them hooked and listening.

Above all, know your topic in and out. Uncertainty about what you are presenting can crush your confidence on stage.

We're all rooting for you and so are they!
 
All you need is to work hard on understanding the topic you want to talk about.

The rest will be taken care of. Trust me. Even, you will be surprised you could present in such a nice manner.
 
Create a rough sketch
Go through points that seem worth mentioning
Practice
Make sure the mike is switched on

I've added a few twists I learned from spending so long online that im sure no one else will be doing.

It's a political topic that's why I was afraid of the lawyers and politicians.
I've studied everything about the topic.
(I'm studying psychology so I was a little rattled by the crowd)
ill make sure to be there with a through understanding about it.

Just do it. Preparation is the key but everything changes once you need to speak. Try to use some jokes, stay natural and people will love you.

I suggest that you talk about what you know only. Talk about your personal experiences.
Whenever I give a talk, I make sure it's a 100% experience-based discussion.
It'll make you feel more confident when your talk revolves around you experiences and the things that you truly know and understand.
 
For me, her support made me like I am never before.
All the power to do seminars and fight with bad people's or rapists
 
Another advice, don't assume what others will think of you. Maybe God has given you a last chance how you can express your heart feelings at it's best.
 
Drink some alcohol before, but not get drunk, just a little to make you more relaxed.

Practice Makes Perfect brother.
Practice infront of mirror so you will get exactly how you will behave infront audience.
 
Self confidence is critically important, not knowing your sh_t is not important.
 
Distractions can be valuable

Use a laptop and projector to show a powerpoint. Follow the powerpoint

Give out a handout sheet with bullet points, definitions, bibliography, web links for research, etc.

Make the handout sheet on colored paper - blue, yellow pastel colors to make it stand out and look important. By giving out a notes sheet, all the people that need info for a report will have everything in front of them. they can relax and their job is done. They will be impressed with your preparation and if your talk is less than exciting, they won't care as they have all the info they need.

When presenting, find a couple of people in the front that appear "nice" and focus on presenting to them

Besides practicing many times your speech, do some deep breathing 2 min before going to the stage. Don't talk to people during that time. Close your eyes and breath in for 4 sec, hold your breath for 4 sec and breath out for 4 sec. Repeat all of that for 2 mins straight right before your speach and you're good to go.

I Came third.
Really happy as I was arguing about law against lawyers;)
Also, the judge who I thought hated me the most told me my presentation was the best.

I read the one to link an action to confidence.
I pressed my thumb tightly with my fingers.
Also, my number came up at 21rst so that was enough time to diminish the value.
I could familiarise myself with everyone around by that time & their was a hour lunch too so I named everyone myself.
