I am new to webdesign and I was hoping I could get some tips or advice on where to look to get a start on the process. I would appreciate any personal webdesign stories or tips because, like I said, I am a noob at the process and I don't even know where to start honestly. Thanks!

Firstly, I would recommend learning wordpress. How to install it, how to manage the back end, and how to manage the basic HTML/CSS code and graphic design.

Here's a few tutorials on Photoshop, Wordpress, and HTML from Lynda, they provide great tutorials on pretty much everything:

Wordpress makes things easier but everyone has their preference. If you want create your own websites, watch those videos I sent you on Photoshop, HTML/CSS, and then visit http://www.thenewboston.org and click video tutorials. They teach you everything such as MySQL, PHP, HTML 5, CSS3, C+,C++, C#, etc.
