Need Advice on Link Building

Good Morning,
I started a wordpress niche website just over a month ago, with the intention of monetizing in the future. I've written 12 or so articles using low keyword difficulty key words and using YOAST as a guide, some articles include product comparisons with amazon associate links. I tried to make all of my articles double the word count of the top 10 ranking in google organic search.

So far I've created no backlinks just 1 FaceBook post on a relevant group, because I don't know how to do this without appearing spammy. Obviously it's a new site and I only get 1 or 2 traffic per day.

What should I be doing, link building? continue writing articles?

Link Building and Content writing both are important...it will take some time to get traffic some tips to increase traffic are
1. Write articles with unique content
2. maintain the consistency
3. promote your content in social platforms
4. Do backlinks (try to get do-follow backlinks through guest posting, forum submissions and image sharing etc...)
