Need advice on Improving conversion rate

A friends site gets an ok amount of traffic to her sales pages, the product is great and price really low, but few sales.

Anyone who clicks link knows what they are getting + price in title.

Approx 150 hits per every 1 sale.

She has recently placed testimonials and more detail on the product, but still not much improvement.

Any help, advice, tips or tricks would be much appreciated.

Not the answer you're probably looking for, but it really depends on the situation. What kind of product is it? What are typical conversion rates in this niche?

It depends on the type of traffic as well. I've had landing pages that have conversion rates of almost 10% on one channel, and then 2% for the same page on a different channel.

My tip would be to play around with A/B testing. You might want to start A/B testing very different pages first, then picking the best one to optimize more detailed. It's a strategy that worked for me. Can take months to really optimize a page, but once you're there you have a solid money maker.

As @RemmyRamp suggested, there are a lot of factors in play with conversion rates that range from product, target demographics, traffic origin, offer, page layout, etc.

A/B testing is going to be the best way to find this out. You could PM me or many other members, as I am sure there are several who would be willing to assist based on a nominal rate.
