You should build links on question answer websites. Good thing about these links is that it also results in direct traffic on the website.

Quora seems good.

But I'm afraid I won't be able to do much of what the other guy suggested. I don't want to rely on videos.

Use my own portfolio of sites.

Publish content people will want to link to...Plain and simple.

What type of content do people want to link to?

Well, put yourself in the position of your "target audience" when it comes to "linkreators" (this is a term coined by Brian Dean) and ask yourself the question...Why do I want to link to this external source?

And THAT is the type of content you need to focus on in order to gain links naturally.

For example...

• Opinionated articles - Don´t be ashamed to share your subjective opinion and/or take a position about a subject
• Interview-based posts - You don´t need to be an expert on your industry/niche in order to publish heavy factual content. Set up interviews with a couple of experts and share their insights with your audience.
• Original research posts - Data-driven blog posts are VERY powerful when it comes to earning links naturally and, among those, case studies are at the top of the list!
• Infographics - Coming up with a graphical view of your article that effectively transfers the message behind it can also result in plenty of links.
• Cheatsheet / Checklist - Breaking down a complex process into easy-to-follow steps even an 8th grader can follow can be of high value.
• Templates - Similar approach as the item above.
• Tools / Calculators - Sharing a tool or some sort of calculator for free can become a valuable resource for others.
• Definitive / Ultimate Guides - In-depth tutorials showing step by step how to cover a particularly complex topic, can come a long way.

That's right, do not build links.

Get the idea of "building links" out of your mind.

This is 2022.

You should attract links.

There is a big difference.

Natural link attraction means that mainstream websites like new sites or resource sites link to your target pages because you have something newsworthy.

You have something interesting that they are linking to.

The best way to attract links is to mine or analyze some sort of data that you may have about your industry and let the world know through press releases.

I'm not talking about SEO press releases because it's just basically a mishmash of keywords.

No, that's old school.

That's not going to work in 2022.

Instead, publish an actual newsworthy press release that contains information people would really be interested in publishing.

That's how you get a lot of natural high-value links.

That's what I've been doing, but to get people to like my content they first need to know I even exist, and I'm not getting much out of social networks. Perhaps my strategy is wrong, I just know that I need to be seen.

To have a natural link? start by adding content to your blog post and list your site in trustworthy directories. You can also do guest posting on the niche-related websites.

Link diversity is one of the key features of a Google-friendly backlink portfolio and natural link building.

You can find same niche bloggers and guest post on their blogs. That's the only natural way I know.

Another way could be creating very quality content so that people will link to them naturally.

Building online tools in your niche and make it available for free or almost free is one of the best approaches to build strong natural links.

This works for me.
