Need Advice on Building an Outsourced SEO Team

Hi everyone,

I'm finally at that stage where I'm comfortable hiring/teaching somebody else to do my linkbuilding. I have enough work to probably keep two employees fully occupied 40 hrs/week. The work is pretty simple, so I wouldnt require any prior experience, only the ability to learn quickly. And, I'm willing to invest time (3-4 hours should be enough?) in training motivated people.

Right now my plan is to put up job postings on elance for people looking for administrative work. But, I've heard the Philippines is a good place to look. How do I get in touch with people in PH who are looking for work?

Also, how much is a fair wage? (is $7-$8/hr?)

I know I've read a few threads where members talk about their own experiences in outsourcing work. If any of you have had good OR bad experiences, it would be really helpful to hear about them, and lessons learned.

$7/$8 is fair that is approx $1400 month (25 days 8 hour per day)

but if you will hire for month you will receive huge discount.

Its better hire for full month.

If you are outsourcing to the third world, find someone you get a good feeling about, and hire them for a full month. Do not be surprised when they take the skills you have taught them and ask for more money or go elsewhere. Generally they will not quite until the month is out, and generally you get a discount.

I am not sure how much money there is in your game, but have you considered hiring a local kid. High school student or college student. I find paying them percentage commissions on their conversions, or a per link rate helps you control cost and ensure results.

Thats fair price. If you decide to go with 8$ per hour I can pass it to the person I dealt with for data entry stuff.

I would suggest odesk. That's where I find all of my workers. $8/hr, you are crazy. You can hire someone in the US for that much.

Basic SEO tasks, like link building or submissions. $2-3/hr. $400/m. Those prices are for good workers who speak English too. Don't feel like you are oppressing them or anything of the sort. The cost of living is much lower over there, and at that price you are actually giving a good wage.

And Philippines are suggested for their English and work ethic. I have 2 there and 2 in India.

1 extra note about full time workers in PH is an extra month of pay. They work for 12 months, but you pay a 13th for some reason.

Screw those freelance sites, too many scammers. Look for people here. I would sure be interested in working for you to further my knowledge and make extra cash. If you want to talk I am online most of the day while working. Send me a P-M with requirements of work and I'll let you know what I can do. I have experience in link building both the manual and auto ways. And I have almost all the tools needed. I might be buying something like magic submitter sometime soon too.

yeah i was gonna say...$8/hr is an American wage...if ur outsourcing you should get a much better discount.

I am from the philippines. tell you the monthly price is is $500 MAX for a good linkbuilder. also check out these sites, onlinejobs.ph and bestjobs.ph. important thing to provide is a biz website, skype and ask for complete details.

I will never pay anyone here more than $600 (unless he/she is one of my managers) this is from a guy with more than 12 employees.

From my experience hiring virtual staff could be a nightmare, but you may be lucky. I will suggest you look for somebody local to you that you can trust depending on your niche.

In my case I have an office and part time staff I can supervise to do anything for me
