Need advice on Blog Startup

Ive got an idea that I think will work well for a blog, Ive never created a blog before just standard sites.

Can anyone suggest software, to make a celebrity blog? I want to have feature pages for actors/actresses.

What software out there can automate this for me, whats the best Blog software? Is it worpress?

Wordpress will work. If you are looking to have a lot of different features, you may want to look into using a CMS like Joomla or Drupal. They are fairly easy to use and very powerful. Plus they have a lot of different addons which will allow you to do pretty much anything. Joomla I believe might be a little easier to use however if you are looking for a completely free approach, Drubal may be the way to go.

I can't speak for the automation part as I have my own custom scripts that do this for me, however I totally am in love with the WP revolution themes for celeb / popular media type sites.

I would suggest Wordpress thats what I'm currently using. As far as hosting goes, I would suggest the link you see in my signature. I've been with them for sometime and they have been really good to me.

hXXp://wp-plugins.net/beta/ is a good site for WP plugins and flicker will have plenty of celeb pics.

Joomla is great, I recommend it.
