Hello all dear experts,

I need some advice from your experience

iPhone have feature "Ask App Not to Track"

Does it mean companies cannot access device digital fingerprint of iPhone?

Specially when i read this Washington Post article, I am little in confusion about iPhone safety on device tracking

Any advice would be appreciate

The 'Ask App Not to Track' feature on iPhone helps limit apps from tracking you across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. However, it doesn’t completely block all forms of tracking, like device fingerprinting, which can still be used by some companies to identify your device. The Washington Post article points out that while this feature enhances privacy, it's not a 100% shield. So, it's a good step, but not a full-proof solution against all tracking methods. Hope this clears up the confusion.

By the way, I’ve recently come across the Scarlet iOS App Store, and I’m curious if anyone here has experience using it in combination with an iPhone connected to Linux, particularly Elive. Scarlet seems like a great alternative for sideloading apps without needing a jailbreakhttps://scarletdownload.com/ but I’m wondering if there are any compatibility or usability issues when accessing or managing apps from Scarlet on a Linux system.

Has anyone tried it out or found effective ways to sync or manage apps from Scarlet alongside their Linux workflow? Would love to hear your experiences or advice!
