Need advice on a site someone gave me..

Ok guys so first off I just want to say thanks for all the information that everyone has posted, I have been a member here for a little while now just reading everyones posts, and I have gained a TON of knowledge from you guys.

So here is the deal, a buddy of mine is making about $500 a month off an adult tube site that he set up, and I have been bugging him about it day in and day out to help me get started. Well, he finally agreed to help me out and is setting me up with my own domain I can't post the domain on here but he says it will be auto updating and I won't have to do anything to get content to it. This is where he is leaving it to me to do the rest.

My question is, is it possible to make this a profitable site? and if so how? I understand I need to set up banner ads and sign up for affiliates, but I'm at a loss as to which would be the best. Also I can modify the type of content the site has from what he says. So should I filter the content to a specific niche, or just let all the videos be posted? And ANY other information or tips would be AWESOME!

why don't you ask him, how he monetized the site, he knows the best of it, well usually you can promote affiliate offers through the videos, put ads network to generate revenue through clicks, etc. Sell those physical product related to the niche, i think, you can make it if you got the traffic and the site looks good.

Don't even THINK about monetizing it before you start getting traffic. If you want to kill it before it starts, throw ads and offers all over the place. If you want to build a steady website with gradually increasing visitors/members, worry about the ads later.

Ok, when do you think I should start adding ads and offers? I understand when I get more visitors, but is there a "special" number or something?

Search you niche and sale niche product on you site also put some ads on your site it's help you to earn some good money from your site.

I'd say once you get to about 50 unique visitors per day should be a good place to start.

Ok I am currently working on getting traffic to the site now. It already has a ton of content and like I said before it updates automatically every hour, and I don't have any ads on it as of now. Any ideas on how to get traffic to an adult site? Its pretty difficult to find places I can advertise, but once again I am working on it! BTW I have already made $3 from pussycash signups...not much I know, but it is a start!
