I currently use rackspace for hosting but there have been to many problems with downtime. Can anyone recommend a good host with dedicated servers.

serverbeach, vr.org .. i've had servers with both companies for over 6 years now. Only had issue with serverbeach when their power system exploded.

rackspace is ass. they charge too much for their managed crap and do nothing.

I am with h**p://www.servint.net/

VPS Plans starting at $49 p/month. 24/7 phone support. I have only been offline for twice for around 15 minutes each time while they rebooted server etc.

Bargain IMO

That's twice in about 10 months.

I have been using liquidweb.com for over a year now. Very little downtime, and the customer service is great.

I'm a fan of Wiredtree and they don't even have an aff program. Run by some Michigan Grads.

fdcservers.net is pretty good. Unmetered bandwidth, easy customization, upgrades and their support is super fast.

Yep! I currently use their VPS servers. It's rediculous how fast their support is, never seen anything like it. I usually get a response time of about 8 minutes any time of the day, its nuts.

I have a new place i just started with that give excellent deals if you talk to them. I just got an 8 core, 500gb raid, 4gigs of ram, 10mbit dedicated bandwidth all to myself for $300. msg me and ill pass along contact details. (im not reselling)

why dont you go for hostgator dedicated servers its d best i knw and has 99.9% uptime have gud experience wid them the support is awsome..

If you don't mind setting up stuff yourself and have the knowhow to do it, I highly recommend Linode.com and Slicehost.com for VPS servers. They aren't really good for Linux server newbies and they don't come with Cpanel or anything. But, so far they've been rock solid and really great - plus you can do anything you want on them without someone complaining.
