Need Advice: I have created a closed random link site network

I need some advice going forward with a new creation.

My company owns and operates 30-40 websites. 4-5 of these are really good, high quality sites that attracts a lot of natural links. To spin up new projects, we've made a PHP and Wordpress widget to distribute link juice in our network - so that new sites can quickly get a "boost".

Our quality sites are primarily in the 53-55 Domain Authority range, as measured by Ahrefs. Our lesser quality websites are generally in the 40-50's DA range.

Basicly, it works like this:
- We have created a Wordpress and PHP widget that we have inserted on the frontpage and sub pages of 20-30 of our websites
- The widget grabs a CSV file from a centralized server, selects 10 random links (with associated anchor texts) and displays them on the site
- The CSV file contains roughly 100 links and anchor links, all to our own pages
- Because the widget is shown on sub pages and shows links, every link from the CSV file is displayed (in average) a total of 10-12.000 times from 20-30 different websites (all on different IP's, most on different C-blocks)

Because it takes Google time to index all of the sub pages of the 20-30 websites, and because all links are random, fetching a new set every time Google visits, the links appear in Google's index gradually over 1-2 months - making the insertion seem more natural.

Key advantages:
- When we start a new project, we can insert the URL and anchor texts into the CSV file, and we automatically get 10-12.000 backlinks from 20-30 domains over the course of 1-2 months
- None of the sites containing the random link-widget links to the other random link-widget sites, only sites without the widget, making it quite hard for Google to detect.

We just started doing this 1-2 weeks ago, so we haven't seen any real results yet.

However, I would love your input on the idea. Do you think it will work, or is there some part of the project that is fundamentally flawed?

I never quite understood how random backlinks work. If a backlink is there today, but not tomorrow, then reappears few days after, etc. isn't that going to cause problems? It doesn't look natural to me.

No, it happens all the time. Think of the frontpage of CNN; all those links (articles) appear for a time, then disappear. You also have various "most popular news" widgets, where links can appear and reappear later.

You're thinking about links wrong, in my opinion. A random link is never temporary or "random"; because when Googlebot comes to visit, it is there. Google sees it and counts it. You never know when Googlebot will be back, but usually it will be 3-4-5 weeks. The fact that the link is then gone and replaced with another the next time Googlebot comes to visit doesn't influence anything - as it happens all the time over the web.

Bumping for visibility

If links aren't viewed as worthless spam it may be a solid idea. But the netword seems too small for such an ambitious idea, especially with same URLs popping up on all of them. If you had 1000+ you may be able to pull off fake buzz like CNN you mentioned, but this may cause a footprint. Just be careful.
