[Need Advice] How to build backlinks for new eCommerce site?

Hello there,

I am just my the way to build my new eCommerce site. I read some threads on the forums but there are so much things, so I think I am lost now. With an eCommerce site, we have Homepages, category pages, and product pages. I bought some small backlinks package on this forum to point to my homepage and category page, but what is the next steps? Should I continue to buy backlinks to point to my homepage and category pages? or should I point backlinks to my products page? I have about 20k products wit specific keywords, and I don't know what to start. Would you please give me an advice how to do with my site? Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you so much for your helpful guide. I tried to research my competitor, I don't see anything much. I assume they used hidden backlinks. More info, my niche is a little "grey/black" so that I can't use influencers or promote my products (even if I don't know how to run ads). I can just rely on search engines, that's why I wonder about how to build backlinks effectively.

Evaluate your top competitors' backlink profiles and try to determine how are they gaining them.
