Need advice/help with new classipress site

Hey guys I just started up a small classipress site for the Tennessee area and I need some help getting traffic, the sit is gofarmin.com it is basically a free farm and garden classified I am trying to promote. I need some feedback on how do I get traffic on there to get people to post and start using the site. I would like to later on charge per ad or featured ads. Any help or way where I can somehow get this this going would be great.

You should promote your site in social networking sites. You will surely get visitors if you do this.

Whats the best way to go about that. I have a local Facebook account with plenty of friends. How would I get them on my page. It seems that a basic status update wont get it. Should I post on each persons page and let them know about it? I was also thinking of advertising in the local paper.

Maybe you should act like a rep and go around to all the farming community near you and market the site. something else i did was put up a lot of fake ads to start with so people start getting interested.
