I need SEO advice, I was just coming up with a good name and a domain for my website and I'm not sure if I got a good opportunity or not

Basically, my main keyword, that all other competitors are targeting too, the .com with the keyword is available to register!

The only issue I have about this is that it is 24 characters long and it's not very catchy which wouldn't be very good for TikTok videos, imagine seeing at the last slide xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com

And even if I put it, when people search it, I wouldn't be first on SERP because I'm at the beginning so I would probably just give more traffic to my "opponent"

Here's my question:

1.
Should I buy the keyword domain, and forget TikTok until I get first on SERP
2. Should I choose another domain and do TikTok immediately

Please help :)

I'm not familiar with TikTok so I'm probably not the best person to recommend what to do, especially since I don't know your TT / SEO skills :)

But in my opinion the long-ass name is only worth it only if it's an EMD and you choose SEO. Otherwise you're right, people will never remember that name.

I would personally find a shorter domain :p

Some will say use a shortened version, some will say stick with the original (long name) and you could also make a mirror site in the shortened name that redirects to the original. Ultimately it's up to you how you want to play it.

Hey yes I also thought about buying another domain that's short and catchy to use on TikTok, but for example lets say I choose zapy.com (random) and people will go to browser and type zapy, but how would it pop up on SERP if it's just a domain I placed a redirect on

Good point, organically it would take time.

You could think about a hybrid approach: secure the keyword-rich domain for its SEO benefits and also acquire a shorter, more brandable domain for social media and marketing purposes. Redirect the shorter domain to your main site.
