Hi,

I am planning to start service on bhw. Currently, I have a GST number and would like to declare all transactions. I dont have to pay any GST for International payments but 18% for Indian. All payment would be via paypal.

I have following queries:

1. I have to show he is International buyer so to pay no GST . But Most buyers here would just give emaill address or name only. What to do in this case to write in Invoice.

2. Is it must for me add my GST in paypal?

@WebMinati Any additional advice would be welcome.

If I am not wrong, you are always receiving from an Indian entity if you are using paypal. On your statement it should show Paypal India pvt ltd or something like that.

So... International customers? Not so sure. Subbed to this as I use paypal too.

You have to file your GST returns and report these transactions as 'zero rated supply'. As a proof you need to provide them with FIRC. Paypal's transactions go through Citibank in India. So citibank is the one who'll issue the FIRC.
Here's how you get the FIRC for paypal transactions : https://www.paypal.com/in/webapps/mpp/firc-certificate

Thanks for replying.

If I sell website and get payment via escrow, in that case, I would be raising an invoice. But how do I show proof that I exported/sold a website (digital goods_ and didnt sell physical goods for which more documents are required to get gst exemption.

You have to apply for LUT aka letter of undertaking at your local sales tax department in order for 100% exemption from GST. You no more need to fill GST if your Organization is 100% export only. In case you have some Indian payments too you should either get them in another account or show them and file GST on them. As someone suggested above you must show FIRC and Gaypal statements where you accept money in USD. Gaypal also have tax invoices which you need to submit as well.

You can read more about LUT here

Zero rate supply means zero GST ? I read something on this somewhere, one can get GST registered for that also (some different type with zero GST for international transactions. ).
