Hi there,

I'm considering to open a private limited company in the UK for an IPTV business (using 1st Formations or similar services) but I need some clarification from someone with experience in this field:

- First, are these services reliable? in particular regarding privacy?
- Do I need to fill my real data when entering company information? Are they verified?
- What about hidden costs? I might not have more than 10 to 20 customers at the beginning so is it worth it? As we all know, time is money so also should I expect to have to fill out a lot of documents?
- How to get money back to your own bank account in a "legit" way? Do you guys pretend to be an employee of your own companies and pay you a salary? Or you just don't declare it (which could raise some other questions...)

I'm planning to create a fully legit business on top of it, including a website and a real service that you can actually order and consume. Am I missing something ?

Thank you for your help and advises.

What is your source of content then if ypou are planning on creting a legitamte business. Where you get your content from? Are you setting yourself up as a licensee? Otherwise if you are just planning on pirate tv, which IPTV is just short for, then you'll just end up with a 4am kick in of your door by interpol, arresting you for money laundering, and siezing your life and assets. lol Don't you read about them regualrly busting people?

Your questions are just generically for any business in any sector "will it work?" "will i make enough money?"

They are impossible to answer with some hard fast data, of you doing it. How did you get your start wanting to go into IPTV? did you pay another provider money, and you thought, wow i could do this? lol

I think you should do it though. Then you'll at least get jailed, then you can come back on bhw in 20 years after you get out, and post "hey don't do IPTV" lol

May as well do it like that. If you can't think of a better business plan? lol

For a legitimate UK company, services like 1st Formations are reliable, but you need to provide real, verifiable info. Expect some fees and paperwork even with few clients. To access funds legally, pay yourself a salary or dividends and report them for taxes. Focus on compliance, proper accounting, and running a real business.

One piece of advise that will help you manage this like a respectable business is to be upfront and honest from the beginning. First Formations and similar company formation services are usually trustworthy, but you need to provide accurate and verifiable information and be ready to pay the usual fees for compliance (accounting, confirmation statements, basic filings). Include the time and money needed for accurate bookkeeping and tax reporting when you plan ahead, even if you only have a few customers. Last but not least, it is important to follow the law when withdrawing funds, which typically involves income or dividends and the assistance of an accountant. Skipping this step can lead to major issues down the road.

If your business is illegal I don't think you should form a company for it

I hope you understand that you are basically telling the government publicly that you're running an illegal business by forming that company.
