Hello, pros :)
I am interested in SEO, trying to catch up with information, but I still need some of it. Maybe can you share some useful information for the guy who wanna be an SEO freelancer?

I would be interested:
- What tools you're using for making SEO, which should I know.
- What steps/processes you're using for SEO.
- What's the best sale process for customers working best.
- Maybe you can share any useful advice

if u want to learn SEO just g00gle it..... g00gle continuously update .... so keep eyes on g00gle updates
 
Have a look at ahrefs as a tool. Read their blog for some info also; they have some good reads.

1: Screamingfrog, Ahrefs and Google sheets all you need
2: Free site audit > on page SEO > off page SEO> SMO
3: Upsell each step using staircase model
4: See above
 
This is a massive question but I will give a simple answer.

1. Deep crawl for audits along with that I really like SEM Rush or Ahrefs try them out see what works best for your work flow.

2. For customers this is the age old question but when we where doing client work we offered cheap services on all freelance sites as a top of the funnel . Along with that our #1 closing technique was mailers plus cold calling.

3. For client upsells that’s easy instead let me give my best advice that will help you so much , pre qualify all people be ok turning down the wrong people.

4. Advice don’t test theories on client sites.

Be patient and take your time many wishes !
 
You wanna offer SEO services but really doesnt know SEO? Why not try to rank some test websites first to then think about offering services?

@Matheus Moreira has it right. You are going to need to learn to rank something before you can sell SEO to clients. Once you learn it, it will be easier to sell it.

Just to give you some insight into my SEO learning curve. I studied everything I could find, then I got my own websites and tested experimented and screwed up some stuff. In the end i learned what worked and what didn't on my test sites not a customers. Once I got a decent grasp on it I offered my services to some local business owners for extremely cheap prices. All of the money they paid me went into buying content and links. My pay was the learning and knowledge I gained.

Those business owners talked to other business owners and when they mentioned marketing my name would come up and I would get a call.

You are gonna need to learn, work hard, show results and probably work for nothing or next to nothing to get started and gain experience.

If by making seo you mean just pushing a button and have links made for you automatically then that's not how it works anymore. People used to rank like this in 2006, not anymore.

I've been in SEO for 12 years now and I have a nephew who just started out almost 3 years ago now. I pointed him to Semantic Mastery's Youtube channel. A wealth of info there weekly.

A great course he told me about that really helped him is Jeffery Smith SEO boot camp. You can find it online for way cheap if you know how to look. He told me this course helped him grasp his head on many subjects.
I've been using his SEO plugin for years and this course is great for starters and vets like me.

He's been doing affiliate sites mostly for himself. Hes also started working on his fiancee cleaning business, doing local and she's taken off because of him. Shes gotten so much work hes had to help her clean.

LMAO!! When you do it right they can get buried. I buried my brother-in-law in work in a matter of months. Funny part is he asked me to help him out in the office because he can't keep up with all the work.

Yes, the SeoBootCamp is a good course. It's even recommended by Bradley Banner from Semantic Mastery what gives this coure a really nice rep. Just don't know if it was updated since it's release somewhen in 2018.
 
ahrefs, semrush and moz are the best tools..

Talk to your customers, lear from them and build your own strategy.

- tools: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, seolium.com for accurate keyword tracking
- process: site audit, on page SEO, foundational backlinks, content marketing
- sale process: you may find it easier to go on freelance platforms
- useful advice: find a solid course and learn the basics. Also don't get too focused on the technical stuff. SEO is a marketing channel and you should help the bussiness' image with your work, not only the backlink profile or domain authority. Also set up standard operating procedures, this will help you at any stage.
