Need advice for new site

I created a site with xSitepro. I'm targeting only 4 keywords and few weeks ago started building "Forum Profile links". After just 2 days, my website was on 1st page of Google 6th place for main keyword and 3rd-4th page additional keywords. It stayed there for 3 days, and made 4$ of Adsense, but after that it dropped down to 82 position and additional keywords disappeared from rankings completely. I fell into panic and searched forums, but someone told me to just "leave it, Google will bring it back after few days, tops few weeks". So now it have been 4 weeks already and my site still in 82nd position, despite the fact that it has 35 backlinks in small niche.

So my question is: I want to try "Linkwheel" or whatever it's called on that site, will it help to get my site back to top of Google or should I forget about that website completely?

Other question: What to do, to not get into this situation again, how to not get "penalised" by Google?

just continue building links for your site...it's just a normal that you've dorpped in ranking specially if this is a new site...good luck
