I am looking for some advice on what to do with over 50 exact match domains that I purchased over a year ago. To give some more information on what I am talking about let me explain. Last January I purchased 100 EMD names and build 7 page micro niche sites for all 100 domains. Each site was set up with wp-robot and set to auto blog once per day (I figured I would stay under the radar.) I did minimal link building to each due to the number of sites I had to work with.
A year later I have about 30 that make between $60 - $1 per month. That leaves a lot of sites that make less than $1 per month. With very little work I have been able to promote these one at a time and bring up their rankings/earning but I have more to deal with than I have time / knowledge to deal with.
My question is what is the best way to liquidate these 50+ sites. I have invested around $50 per site for content, domain registration, and hosting. Most are TLD names with only about 5 .info's.
The options I can think of are as follows;
1. email domain owners that already have similar domain names registered. An example if I have www.coffeemugs.net email the owners of coffeemugs.com/.org/.info and offer the domains for sale.
2. list the domains on flippa. One question I have here is do autoblogs sell on flippa? I don't have customer banners on each site but I could make some pretty quickly for each to clean them up some. Most sites have free themes with wp-robot making daily posts. Only real value is the EMD name and the 7 unique content articles. The other value is the domains are slightly aged and someone could start link building on them immediately.
3. create a thread here and sell them as EMD. With a little love these sites could easily rank and start producing income. This has been my experience with each of these. I have done a little work on the 30 I have now that make on average 50 cents per day. I just have too many domains to promote by myself.
I do have a VA to help prep the sites if I decide to try to sell on an individual basis. She can add CTR theme and a custom banner image on each.
4. Find a JV partner to promote and help flip the sites. I have no problem sharing the revenue to help me downsize my inventory.
5. Sell ad space and quest blogging opportunities to all the emails I get from people. I get a few emails a week from people asking to guest post or buy ad space on some of the domains. I was thinking about creating a landing page with pricing to offer people that send these requests. I have sold a few links for $50 to $125 per year on some sites. My primary objective was to put adsense on these sites so I have not pursued this possibility very much.
Any constructive suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping a noob.
