Need Advice: Best Web Hosting Options for 2025

I'm having trouble selecting the best hosting for a couple new projects that I'm in the middle of setting up. I've primarily used [your current host, such as Bluehost/Hostinger/Namecheap], however recently I've seen sporadic outages and decreased speeds.

For those of you who manage several websites, what is most effective for you in 2025? Do you continue using shared hosting, or is it better to switch to VPS or the cloud now? Would you suggest any underappreciated providers?

Before I make a long-term commitment, I would love to hear your advice

Multiple like how many? Siteground and fastcomet are good option. For couple of site checkout wpx. A little on pricer side. All these will give you least outage.
Opt for vps if you are getting more than 100k visitors or if you are running pbn to separate the ipaddress, prevent footprint leak from cpanel.
 
VPS is usually a nice middle ground gives you more control and stability without breaking the bank.
 
A good host will get back to you with in 1 hour. If they respond quickly, is the reply friendly, does it answer all your questions and is personal? If so you can move onto the next step. I’ve been in a similar spot before...started on Namecheap shared hosting years ago, but it just couldn’t keep up once traffic spiked on a couple of my lead-gen sites.
Switched to a low-tier VPS on Contabo last year and honestly, for the price, it's solid. Not blazing fast out of the box, bt with a bit of tuning (LiteSpeed + Redis) it holds up well

bt bro if you're managing multiple projects, I’d definitely lean towards VPS or cloud...shared hosting gets painful once you're juggling more than 1-2 active sites.
Also worth looking into Cloudways (if you don’t want to deal with sysadmin stuff)
Curious what kind of projects you're working on...ecom? Affiliate?btw that might affect the setup you go with
 
Yeah VPS is definitely the move if you're running anything serious. Vultr’s been decent for me too cos of their high-frequency instances which are actually pretty snappy
 
AWS is also powerful but kinda overkill for small projects IMO, unless you really need the scalability. Plus the pricing can get confusing fast
Have you tried DigitalOcean or Hetzner? Curious how they stack up for you compared to Vultr

If you need cheap affordable hosting, check hostinger.

They only have dedicated. I'm not the OP, but I just went to their site since I need to move hosters.

I had issues with them years ago, but my notes aren't clear on what happened. I decided to try them again to see if things had changed.

I was forced to fill out a very long calendry form (first time EVER in all my years of dealing with hosters, I applaud the organization, but I just wanted to know the pricing for now.

And then at the end of all the questions, all of their times to ask only about pricing before I ask my 7 emails of questions was only in the morning. Then their checkbox option about time zones only had a yes, not a no & I think it also forced a toxic cell phone weapon number.

So I just said forget it.

You know how to manage your own server? Most VPSs are not managed. I tried one out years ago & after 3 months of stress & my site going down all the time, I finally moved.

I’ve found VPS to be a lot more stable than shared hosting, especially if you’re running multiple sites. Cloud hosting is good too, but it can get pricey if traffic spikes.
