Hey guys,
I’m about to bring in a developer for some HTML + JavaScript tasks (page edits, interactive elements, small scripts), but before I do, I’d like some guidance.

From a buyer’s point of view:

> What should I realistically budget for this kind of work?
> Is plain JS usually enough, or do devs push frameworks unnecessarily?
> Any red flags I should watch out for when reviewing proposals?

Not selling anything just trying to avoid rookie mistakes.

Appreciate any input.

Page edits, interactive elements, small scripts can be done by asking chatgpt or any higher level api.
Are you OK with your developer doing that? Ask yourself before you hire.
Set the expectations right before you hire. Pay for the results not for "spending time coding".

i would hire who is smart enough to use his brain while getting the right thing done by ai not wasting his hours

Look for C/C++ developers, C#, and Python or Start with flow charts and build a reputable network and host from cyberspace hardware; then you can move to JavaScript Kubernetes and containers; if you choose to automate income consider cloud development Oracle or Azure
