Need advice and feedback

Hey I hope you are all doing good.

I am currently designing the front-page of an upcoming blog, also I will try to meet the criteria as shown in this post by @RealDaddy (The category part is not done yet)
The idea behind the design is basically a minimal UI Design to look good on mobile (like an App), because nowadays over 50% of traffic comes from mobile devices.

Well, now I am not sure if this desktop version is good and thats why I would love to have some feedback, advice and suggestions
