Hello BHW, hope you all are well.
I need advice, I have contacts in Ghana who are web developers and programmers in general. They do great work and we have agreed that they carry out work I send them. Im from the UK I've only managed to gather two clients which was successful. Clients were happy as-well as I. They got paid and I took my cut. But I'm struggling to find and land more clients.

Is there a website or method I can use to promote?
Do you think paying for ads is worth it?
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you!

It’s great you’ve had some initial success.

Try local small business groups or Facebook communities... word-of-mouth is underrated and free!

upwork or freelancing sites, you'll land some clients. Majority ask for a portfolio tho so get one ready
Yeah will definitely put together a portfolio, it makes sense that they would ask of one, thank you ill check some site out.

Thank you I appreciate it ,
Ill look into it and definitely go see my local stores on the high street! As you said its free.

How many do you earn on the business? I think you can open more wonderful business similar to current.
I don't earn a lot as I've only ended up with two clients so far, however those two were good payout. After I get some scaling and momentum going, I think similar businesses are also an option, but we'll see.

Thank you!

Create multiple streams of revenue, resell/upsell different other services.

No ads will only burn money, it's not viable in this niche. I have seen agencies claiming to do 7 figures where more than 50% of their revenue is eaten up by adspend and rest are overheads. Their margins are meagre for the risks taken.

Start to network on LinkedIn, IRL, and attend these networking groups(there are city wise chapters).

Fiveer and Upwork start to brand and position yourself as high-end agency.

Also start building niche wise landing pages.

Example:
https://www.designrush.com/agency/website-design-development/healthcare

Also cold calling works like a charm if you have the time and local laws permit doing unsolicited calls.

I've been looking into different services to expand, already signed up to a few networking group events so finger cross those go well. Haven't looked at LinkedIn but will check that one out.
landing pages sound good also

appreciate the advice and thanks for the link.

You can use LinkedIn to connect with business owners and startup founders, provided your profile showcases your team and services in an attractive way.

What about upgrading your account on BHW (when you are eligible for it) and create a BST offering your web developing services?
