You can track these bot traffic and ask for a refund from the network. So it is not such a big deal if you are using a good tracker that can gather these proofs usually in the form of IP addresses, UA, Browser pattern. Buying direct does not mean that there isnt bot. The situation might be even worse since you do not know the person who you are dealing with.
