Almost every theme has support for Adsense and there are plenty of free ones to choose from at wordpress.org. Get your site set up and start posting content everyday. If you cant post content then pay someone to do it for you, otherwise your site isn't going to make you $20 a day with Adsense.
If you sell a product and have targeted traffic then you might make more $$$ with less views, good luck!

I think first you should begin with making a website on a good niche and then getting a lot of visitors and also adding good quality contents which is quite easy part. Then you can use aff offers to sell product later when you get around 1000+ views every day and also then you can build a good list. But first stick to creating a adsense website and make some starting money and experience before moving any forward.

Lost of free themes out there supported adsense code. You can check athemes.com this site here is a great free theme collection also. Personally i like athemes theme.If you need any more help regarding this issue please let me know.

Free theme templates are good sometimes, but when it comes to customization you will be left empty handed (in most of the cases). If we talk about premium themes there are plenty of reasons to consider. Anyways, your theme basically depends on the niche and services, you target. Beauty and gadgets are the top most selling things online. You can do some research and grab money in no time. Most of the themes support Adsense, if not you can install plugins for it. Use filters and check for the desirable themes in the categories, you are done. 
I have a site I am running called MH Newsdesk Lite and their paid version has a few more options which I plan on buying. It's not a bad setup and has room for adsense in the usual spots. If you want to see what a site with some content (I haven't worked on it much) using that theme, the site is meatheadcookbook and the header should be a small logo on the left with room on the side for a top banner.
I agree with EliteCreator that most themes have support for it and writing is going to be a must unless you pay someone else to.
I've been doing this for about 2.5 years and I'll tell you that relying on ad revenue isn't enough.. you need to have something to sell.. I'm just now getting into affiliate marketing and writing my own ebooks.
