I can't seem to figure out how to manipulate an image taken with my digital camera and make it fit accross the header space without screwing up the image.

How is this done.

If I want to edit an image to be a banner image like 734 x 60 or whatever the common size is.

I need to beable to do this to make custom wordpress headers.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have PS cs4

Sounds to me like you need to learn the very basics of PS.
Google should turn up tons of tutorial sites on how to use PS. Start there. What you want to do is simple once you know how to use the software.

I searched on adobe and didn't find this in particular. Not sure if I explained it well.

I tried to use the resize image keep constraints thing ... Sucks

Thanks

My search goes on....

In photoshop > new document, set it to 734 x 60 or whatever header size you want. Drag the photo from where ever your storing it. Hold shift while you drag from one of the corners to fit within the 734 x 60 space..

will this work if the image that you are dragging is much taller say 600 ?

I can drag it into the 734 x 60 and move it around, but I cannot constrain it to fit the whole image. I know this seems impossible, and if it is then I am at least able to finally know.

Or is there a way to do this usig content awareness?

Thanks

select the image and press ctrl+t and you can able to fit in correct size....:)
