Hey guys , first off -- I read here a lot and want to thank all the people who post informative information . I've learned a lot by just reading -- so I try and stay away from questions , but now I'm in a situation where I think that posting my dilemma here would give me the best advice.

i started a very legitimate eBay account and its been going strong for 3 months (powerseller/top rated/99% FB) ... but re-evaluating my business strategy has led me to do most of my business on another website lately...

so on a whim I decided to list some vero items (not more then 15) -- I figured the auction would be closed within hours but it went strong and all of the items have been paid for (and withdrawn from my pp).

i haven't received any violations (yet) , so I'm a little stuck on how to proceed. I shipped all of the items , and I'm 80% sure ill receive a suspension/ban ...

Like I said , all the funds have been transferred/pending to my bank account (verified pp) -- so would waiting for all of the funds to become available with my bank , then withdraw/close the bank account , and then see if any violations will occur with eBay or PP chargebacks ? I don't want PP going in my bank account ... and I plan on getting a payment merchant anyway , so I really have no need for eGay anymore and although I'd like my PayPal to remain active -- I won't loose sleep over closing it.

I planned on leaving eGay anyway because of the ridiculous fees (and as I've stated earlier -- I have a better sales base) , I'm just trying to figure out the right way to proceed with this "situation" (although I may be lucky and have no complaints/violations/suspension etc... -- I'd bet a good wager I will)

any advice would be well appreciated in advance !

Playing with fire.. If you want to keep a good standing, I personally wouldn't risk it.

Well , I already "risked it" I guess -- which is why I'm asking for advice ... I'm thinking of stopping all ebay sales , removing my bank account from PP -- close the account , and see what happens (if anything ?)

I was in a similar situation 6 or 7 years ago which resulted in my Ebay & PayPal accounts getting canned. Just saying, be careful :)

Risking your Paypal account over a one time transaction, is something you'll end up to regret later on.

It is a short term thinking process, and you don't know what years to come will be made of.

This. Was unable to make a PayPal account for a long time after the fact because there was a block on my SSN :/ All-in-all, not worth it!

Thanks for the replys guys ... here's some more info.

- my buisness has grown to the point where I'm getting another payment processor.
- eBay is now no longer much of use to me ... the ebay / pp fees take away too much (understatement) from my buisness , which is why I've transitioned to a better processor and a totally different auction style website (my niche is out of the norm.)
- I just checked and my listing is sold out and no longer active , it wasn't cancelled by ebay (shocked) ... so I'm assuming the only issues I will have (if any) is if the buyers complaining about the item ?

If that's the case -- ill do a refund and take what I got from the listing (it was like 15 of this item) with no problem ...

I'd say you're fine at this point, but you dodged a bullet. While currently you may not be worried about losing your PayPal account... Like HostStage said, you've got no idea what you'll have going on 1 month, 6 months or a year down the road. Not having a PayPal account makes life VERY difficult for someone in this industry.

Running any type of shady schemes on your person Paypal is quiet risky. As stated before, your SSN is needed to make a Paypal account. Just because you've deleted your bank info from your Paypal, what makes you think that Paypal doesn't keep a copy as backup?

^^ this wasn't a scheme ... I had a few pairs of beats headphones given to me and I opened one up and they sounded authentic but I was told they are rep's , so I threw a few on eGay ...

I'm not doing this again , but just wanted to check with you guys for advice --- I didn't think anything about it until all of them sold under 24hrs.

Selling fake anything is against eBays TOS. From what I can tell, you sold them as genuine.

^^ that's why I made the thread. I didn't know the "beats" headphones were/have been a big deal until I did a google search.

I don't understand, what's you concern ? Are you afraid to get MC999 shit?
Or, the beats are bad quality and when ppl get them they would notice the shit are fake ?

if they are good quality, nobody would notice
by good quality i mean good sound, look, feel and ofc serial numbers
if they dont have that then its easy to tell they aint legit
and then ofc that means your fucked

Its just a matter of time before the building comes falling down. Thread carefully.

well I got a MC99 today -- my account isn't suspendo'ed yet so now how do I proceed ? Do I unlink the PP to my bank ? Close my eBay account ?? I'm still a trs and powerseller so I don't know what to make of this letter -- it seems like a warning but who knows with eGay....

i actually got the top rated seller email 2 hours before this one , and the email came a day after the listing ended ?

I guess this wasn't such a big deal -- I did the tutorial and just got a "turquoise star" notification 4 mins ago.

So why eBay took your listing off? Is it because u were using others pics?
