Need a FaceBook Account Banned

Ok, a close family friend of mine is being harrassed/publically bashed/publically humiliated via a number of lies and absurdities posted on FaceBook by an astranged family member (who no doubt has some psychological imbalances going on).

They have contacted FaceBook with little to no response, and may take legal action if there are no other options...however, my friend does not have the money or time to sit in court and hire an attorney due to them spending both their time, money and energy taking care of a dying family member with cancer.

As such going the legal route would be stressful, costly and may not yield a favorable outcome.

I offered to reach out and help (paying the bill on this) if anyone can work to get a FaceBook Account Banned.

Please PM as this is a sensitive issue I would rather not have on a semi-public forum. Thank you.

That would work I'm pretty sure. In theory, they do not have time to check out every single report complaint; in my opinion. So if there is a lot of reports for a certain account they will just terminate it. For now though why can't the people being attacked, simply ignore this person and forget about it? It's the internet, maybe you should go shut the person up in real life...

There exists a "Block User" function in FB, maybe you should use it.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Problem is they do not live in a large city so they know a lot of the same people and you all know how fast gossip and slander spreads. So just having them block the user is not the best route.

We have filed a couple complaints already, but I'll see if I can't get creative with multiple accounts to do this, but I'm still open to outsourcing the "complaints" option if someone has multiple accounts already.

Outsourcing usually means a payment will be received for completing a task.

Report that person as many time as you can and hope that some action will be taken from facebook.

I am aware of the rules for posting in this section, but because this is a service (i.e. paid per hour/completion of a task: getting an account banned) I figured this would be the best place for it.

If there are any issues with my post being in this section I would be more than happy to move it = )

you can report and get them banned all you want the problem is you will more than likely go through all this and all they will have to do is create a new account and continue.

If it is really as bad as your making it out to be internet or not it's harassment threaten criminal charges and if that doesn't work actually call the police and go through with it.

Yeah, I guess they were thinking at least if they got this account banned the person would have to start from scratch adding all their "friends" again and would have to register under a new/diff name.

Prob the route they will have to go is the legal one. Thank you.
