Need a cracker to fix this closed-source app

Hi, new to the forum. I'm looking for anyone able to fix this bandwidth monitor program that only works on XP. I need it to work on Windows 7.
I'll gladly pay you via Paypal if you need compensation for your work. But upon skimming the rules quickly I noticed it said selling was illegal outside the "buy/trade" subforum so I'm not explicitly selling/buying. And I didn't know where to post this thread, this seemed the most appropriate subforum.
So yeah, anyone feel elite enough to help me out?

If it's just bandwidth you're wanting to monitor, it's definitely just going to be cheaper to find a different one that works with windows 7. Or is there something special about this one?

Bandwidth Monitor Pro. I'll hand over the actual app to anyone who agrees to try to crack it. The version I have is bought-for and legitimate so I don't wanna upload it in public lest I break some petty copyright laws.

Yes, all the other ones I've looked at suck balls, missing at least one important feature of BMP. Curiously, even the crappiest ones offering the bare-minimum somehow are a couple MB while kickass BMP is only 220KB. And I would still have to somehow import the past 7 years of BMP logs to the new app which would be really annoying because BMP stores the (integer) values as double-floats for some seriously odd reason. The only thing that needs to be fixed with BMP is to make it recognize the network adapters. I have the exact same one as I used on XP but BMP fails to recognize network adapters on Win7 thus doesn't show anything on the graph. It launches perfectly fine otherwise.

I'm not a windows programmer, so I won't be much help here.

Unless you can find some way to emulate the xp adapters on windows 7, what you're talking about sounds like it falls into the more difficult category. I could be wrong, but I doubt you'll find anyone to do this at a reasonable price. If you do, I'd be interested to hear how they pulled it off.

What about talking to the original developers and see what they'd charge to support windows 7?

Doubt it. I tried XP Mode which is a specialized kind of XP VM for 7 and it failed because a VM can't record traffic from the host. The opposite is the norm.

Original developeR is not answering emails. He last updated BMP in early 2005.

Ohh, using questionable means to get undeserved attention and advertising for crappy sites that otherwise wouldn't. Makes sense.

if you are willing to pay, why don't you contact the software writer/developer to update his software?
