Need a coder (simple script)

I need a simple script written up tonight.

It's basically a button, and a random code (that i place in database or some other file) that is generated on each click of the 'Generate Code' button.

Thats not hard to knock up! what do you want the generated code to look like? digits? numbers? both?

I really need it just to read a code i insert into the database the codes will be alpha-numeric.

I don't want it to read a php file or anything since someone can find that.
