Need a Bit of Advice With Keywords

I am currently developing a website and need a bit of expert advice.

My site is in a popular niche and keywords for it are hard to rank for (smallest search results are like 25,000,000 and top sites are gonna be hard to outrank), however i am not planning on having most of my traffic from google, i am going for social media traffic.

As my niche is diffucult i have gone with a brand rather than keywords for my domain, my plan is for people to search the brand as i have zero competition on google for my brand.

What im stuck with is should i go for the keywords with the lowest results, the highest search volumes, a bit of both or does it not really matter? it would be nice to get some referral traffic i just dont know how to proceed.

Make sure the brand you are creating is low results so you will skyrocket to the top. That is the first tip.

The keywords in your articles are up to you. You want low competition keywords, with high search results ideally. (Obviously everyone does)

Title your articles like that, see how they start to stack up.

But like you said if it is super competition for your niche, it will be harder. In that case go for LT keywords as well.(Or a bit more I would say)

That's pretty basic advice. Otherwise, sounds like you have a good start!

My brand is definately unique, i rank 7th on the first page of google already with little content and over 38,000,000 results! All the other results do not have my branding in their results.

I was thinking about using LT keywords for article titles and subtitles. What i have noticed is my LT keywords with small search volumes and high competition dont actually appear as a whole phrase in any of the top search results, so im hoping i might have a chance of worming my way in by using plenty of these LT keywords in my articles.

Yeah, people focus too much on that result count. That doesn't mean a lot, or as much as people think.

For example: Nicki Minaj has 24,000,000 results. Do you think that is easy to rank first page?

Random niche with low comp can have 30 or 40 mil result and google still hasn't successfully found fitting results.

500k-2mil thing I find is meant for specific keywords in a competitive niche, to rank for something within the niche.

For example, I will use the classic example, 'payday loans' with 17 mil is hard to rank, 'super fast payday loans' with 300k is easier.

Keyword is longer, less results, and you hope to provide more relevance with a lower result count.

My advice is too target for keywords with low search results and NO competition.

Simply because you will be the only one advertising on this keyword.

Also don't forget to check Searchterms, so you can see which search terms are clicking on your ad (important)
