I would say 2k backlinks in a week for a brand new site would be too many too quick. drip feed them over the course of a few weeks. a few every day

Unless the website is brand new I don't think there is such a thing as too many links. Google won't be able to crawl them all at once and you will get away with it.
The thing that might get you website de-indexed is if you use the same anchor text for all those links. If the links are coming from different sources it shouldn't be the same anchor text.

Why not create accounts and do social bookmarking,then take samples from 10 users for directory submissions on other forums,participate in free Xrumer blast threads,Do forum posting on various High PR sites which can be easily found here and do some article submissions ur self on various article directories!!! 0$ price for all this i think if u do yourself :biggthump
