Need $1-$2M method without AI

I hate AI so much.

I hate creating methods to make money for the soul purpose of making $.

I just want a method where I can stay true to myself and have it make me $.

How? What? Why? What is the method? Passion things make less money now than they did pre-ai.

There is no room for artists anymore. Ai is killing us all. Phones were the first wave - killing all us Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Coldfusion, Photoshop experts. Now ai is going to kill all us Sketch, Figma, VS Code, WordPress experts. Like wtf? I am sick of this.

I am so done with Frontend and the tech industry in general. It is so gross.

They should have never allowed smart phones or media queries, plus APIs and full stack and they should have never allowed AI. It’s not fair. I was screaming at them for these smart phones and having to stop using <table> layouts. JP at least still has a clue with above the fold design. But every industry is ruined, not just “Frontend Design”. I can list and name every industry that has changed in the name of GDP/control/profit. It sucks. The artist has no place in today’s world. It sucks.

Full stack and mass APIs/languages were only created for ai and these damn phones/automation.

They literally serve no purpose.

MySpace and OG Facebook is literally better, than modern FB/Myspace. 2001-2005 era video games; better. Uber is garbage and a waste of resources. All these apps and video games are F tier hunks of garbage compared to 2001-2005 tech! God, I hate this planet! What timeline am I in? Reddit is trash, YT is trash, everything is trash trash trash!

Why are things 100% worse than they were pre smart phones?

My God, I hate this!

I should have never went for computers. I should have chose to be a mechanic or house fixer upper or something.

I understand your rant and I know the whole AI thing is doing both the good and bad but you gotta learn to ride the AI wave and adjust accordingly.

I made the mistake of trying to ride the <div> wave and phone wave and picking up figma and other methods of building websites. I am sick of changing. This is not adapting. This is forceable changes for profit. Not what is best for the end user or any tech stack. They are all future based decisions based around phones, ai, meta glass, profit and most importantly control.

It’s not natural. Truly adapting happens over 1000 years. It’s not instantaneous. When you are forced to change instantaneously, you get lots of people losing jobs. This is worse than the wholly mammoth going extinct in the Ice Age. This is like a mega apocalypse. At least the wholly mammoth had time to adapt and slowly disappeared over 1000s of years. This is killing jobs in just a few, with no time to adapt.

My children will be able to see the writing on the wall, because they are young and have time, and can see what these rich greedy monsters can do to these industries.

For me, it’s too late. I would have to pick something where big tech is not involved, and go back to school. I don’t even know if I like that idea. School is such a waste of $, unless you want to work a 9-5 in a technical Job. Even then it’s risky asf with AI now days.

There are new avenues emerging all the time. Maybe explore other areas adjacent to your existing skillset. Or even try something completely new. The world is still full of opportunity.

At this moment, if you want to do something real which works - use AI. Try to be on the side of AI as the owner of a business rather than be at the receiving end where the AI will take up your job.
 
I'm sorry, I hear you. It hurts to watch everything change so fast and feel like what you love no longer matters that the genuine was replaced by the useful, that art lost its value to the algorithm. But your pain is real, your vision matters, and even if the world seems deaf, there is still space for what's authentic, even if it feels invisible right now.
 
You complain about almost everything. I am sure there are other good reasons to be grateful . If you really do not like something, what are you doing to change it. Even a small contribution can help.
 
You should avoid tech and embrace marketing. Learn the strategies to drive traffic and convert it instead of mastering a tool or software. AI is going to kill the hard workers but you can outsmart it with smart work.

It's your opinion that change happens over 1000 years but it's definitely not fact. If you didn't evolve with mobile web and kept your website desktop only, your business would go under.

Move with the times or get left behind. Simple as that

I wouldn’t call that adapting. I also wouldn’t call these changes good things. Especially with what we’ve seen in the last 20 years.

Changing and adapting are different. These changes these companies are doing are profit driven and creating lesser QoLs.

We would have been better off with CRT, 2005 era computer graphics, no smart phones or at least different standards for them.

It’s sick in the head what the rich have done with these phones in the name of profit. And their touch works worse than it did in 2007 when they first came out

Feels so bad and wrong to embrace ai. It feels like a sin. I wish congress would put a halt to all of this, personally. I wish there was no war, less people, and so much more. It feels like we are in hell, but this is actually heaven. We have everything we need, it’s just not sustainable with so many people.

Woah okay I hear you man! It totally sucks feeling like tech is just bulldozing everything you love. It's rough when your skills feel obsolete especially when it's driven by profit over passion. It's hard to find that sweet spot where you're being authentic and making bank. I get the frustration and feeling lost. Maybe there's a way to blend your old skills with the new or pivot to something adjacent where your unique perspective shines. Don't give up completely yet okay?

I might try legacy web design streaming on YouTube/Twitch with Macromedia MX 2004, and Mac OS 9 or Windows NT/XP or 7 in compatibility mode and a capture card.

I could try Rive.app, I guess. Idk. I dislike Canvas and mobile breakpoints though. Plus, Rive has no SEO or databases unless you are enterprise, and can apply for their SDK. It’s kind of a pain to implement and build forms/databases for because currently; it’s just an animation tool.

I’m working on thinking of something.

keep refreshing your skills and do some research. i understand your frustration alittle but don't let these changes stop you.
 
Don’t blame AI, blame your refusal to adapt. The world evolves, and those who resist change get left behind. Survival belongs to the adaptable. Time doesn’t wait, and it certainly doesn’t live in the past. The 2010s are over. So should be your mindset.
