For people who are in charge of running pages or groups: What kinds of material receive likes, comments, and shares on a regular basis? Do regular updates really make a difference, or is quality more significant than quantity? Is there a way to increase organic reach without using sponsored advertisements?

Quality ads are a must. Quantity not so much as you will be spamming potential customers and they will not like that. One last thing is that reels nowdays perform and convert 30% better than group posts.
 
Totally feel you — reach has been all over the place lately! From what I’ve seen, authentic content (stories, behind-the-scenes, tips) and interactive posts (polls, questions, memes) get the most consistent engagement. Quality > quantity for sure, but posting consistently still helps the algo notice you. Oh, and don’t forget — Reels + community replies are your free reach boosters!
