NAP Question

    Quick question. How much of an impact would the difference in "xyz company and "xyz company name inc" make.

    Reason I am asking is because a potential client has over 200 citations already. Half of them are "xyz company" and the other half are "xyz company inc"

    I have never came across this before, usually I deal with address or phone errors. I read an article on Moz saying it shouldn't have an impact and they used law firm as an example because one year a firm could be "Olson Golberg Jones" and then Mr Jones leaves so it's just "Olsen Goldberg"

    Before anyone calls me out for not knowing my shit, I am only posting this and asking for a second opinion because another company trying to lock him down is using this name difference as a major selling point in why they are charging so much more.

    Inc shouldn't make a big issue at this point in the game, in the future it could change I typically try to fix the citations to match as much as possible but from my experience a , or suite vs # typically only delays the algorithm from syncing it all together so out the gate it might take longer but in the end the inc shouldn't have much impact at all.

    If the remaining information is the same then it should make little difference. Some people put the company name without Ltd, some put it with, essentially IMO as long as the address and phone number are the same it should be fine.
