Hi, I've purchased a domain from GoDaddy without buying any hosting, I was going to set that up after. Anyway, I decided to get Arvixe hosting and I seen they offered a free domain.. so I made a new domain for free. That's up and running fine, but I'm having trouble connecting my GoDaddy domain to Arvixe hosting. I've tried transferring the domain to Arvixe but it's trying to charge me $7.95 even though I've just paid for the domain on GoDaddy? Am I doing something wrong here because it said I could have up to 6 domains? :/ Sorry if that doesn't make much sense but it's just confusing the hell out of me lol.

Hiya, You have to set the nameservers at godaddy to point to the hosting. For instance, find out what the nameservers are at Arvixe, go to your goDaddy domain manager, and enter the Arvixe nameserver info in place of the godaddy ones. Right now I imagine your new domain is parked at godaddy and they have ads all over it. Hope it helps!

As stated in the post above mine, you have to change nameservers.

You will also need to change your DNS settings (A Record). Get your website IP from Arvixe and use it for the 'IP' field when setting up a new A record.
But now your godaddy domain will point to the domain you got for free, which we don't want. So you will have to set up a subdirectory for all your new files on the godaddy domain.
