I'm new to all this but:

Been trying to point my domain nameserver from Godaddy to Viridweb host. First time I got an email from Godaddy after 24 hours indicating that the nameservers have been changed but they had not. Waited for three more days still didn't change. Tried switching it back to Godaddy, waited for the email after 24 hours then pointed them back to viridweb again(probably was a bad idea). So now three days later and still nothing. Checked on whois and there's no change still. What could be the problem?

Are you sure you inserted the right nameservers? I know, I know, but sometimes a second check it's good.
You should check the dns propagation with dnschecker, as @vigyavan suggested.
You can also try to open a ticket and talk with the support team of your hosting provider.

Check on dnschecker
Only getting "Not Resolved."

Haha I checked and recheck coz I assumed it's one of my silly mistakes lol

I'm only seeing Godaddy Phone numbers
Done. What do I check for after doing this?

try to clear your DNS. Go to the Windows console and type inconfig/ flushdns

If this does not work, check if the DNS of your server has been entered correctly for your domain.
Is this supposed to work instantly?

You will clear your previous DNS cache on your network.

If you enter the code, I recommend you to delete your cookies in the browser and try again.

Provided that the 24 hours have expired after you entered the DNS at your domain.

I've rechecked severally. This is a direct copy/paste from Godaddy:

Nameserver
dns1.viridwebhosting.com
dns2.viridwebhosting.com

Then the problem will be with viridwebhosting.com.

In all likelihood, you still have to enter the link from your domain on a page there.

did you select NS when you searched on dnschecker?
I just did and it has resolved in Denmark, Portugal and india each showing Viridweb and not Godaddy this time. Does this mean it's okay?

They're insisting I talk to Godaddy support. Just tried installin WP on the domain and it gives me these errors
The following errors were found :

  • Could not write the Configuration File check_charset.php
  • Could not write the Configuration File soft.htaccess
  • Could not write the Configuration File wp-config.php
Annoying

that means you're all good, it's just a matter of time before it gets resolved worldwide

Let's see

1) where do you live? It matters a lot when you change a dns record. If you live in us, the change should be pretty quick, but sometimes it is not consistent (it will work for one request and it will not work for the second one). This is why companies say you should wait for 2-3 days.

2) What's your ttl?
3) most importantly, do you know what you are doing? That matters a lot. A bad record won't be changed by any registrar or dns provider. I hate GoDaddy, but this is not a problem with them generally.

These records are cached globally so that you can access a website quickly. Be patient, but also know what you should do. Otherwise, you will keep changing the records and be more frustrated.

Nameserver
dns1.viridwebhosting.com
dns2.viridwebhosting.com

It should be ns1(and ip/domain) and ns2, not dns1 and dns2. When you bought the hosting plan, you got a mail with all the information, included the ns addresses (it can be ns72.hostingprov.com).

This was the email I received from them

If you are using an existing domain with your new hosting account, you will need to update the nameservers to point to the nameservers listed below.

Nameserver 1: dns1.viridwebhosting.com
Nameserver 2: dns2.viridwebhosting.com

I won't pretend that I know what I'm doing but all I had to do was change the nameservers which I did.
