namecheap webhosting is it ok?

Hi guys i want to start a new site , i am thinking to host it on namecheap, anyone has expirience with it?

Yes, I have plans with them they are good.

Im using namecheap for new sites without traffic too and can recommend.

Yep, personally I find it better than any other known providers such as DigitalOcean.

Check what's up with its current server response and largest contentful paint. It used to be below average. If you are planning to go with it dont forger to use cloud flare.

Go ahead. Don't go with the entry level one. Go with at least stellar plus. If you have the budget you can even go for stellar business. Works fine till your traffic is moderate and the customer service is good as well.

been using them for 11 months (next month my plan is due for renewal and I will renew it)

What I like about Namecheap:

1) they're cheap... and if you wait until Black Friday you can get the "unlimited everything" plan for $10-12 for the 1st year (that's what I did last year on Black Friday when I became their client)
2) their support is good (they've helped me instantly and always, no matter which problem I had)

What I don't like about Namecheap:

1) their "unlimited everything" plan is not really unlimited. They have inodes (or lnodes, or whatever the hell they are called) limit of 300k, after which you can not host any more sites. Basically, this 300,000 inodes / lnodes metric is just the number of files you are allowed to have on your hosting plan, which should be more than enough for newbies to get their feet wet with hosting. I have like 12 sites in my hosting account and they take up about 180,000 inodes / lnodes in total.

And the reason I don't like this is not because there's a limit to the number of files you can have (although this is bothersome, too), but because it's being advertised as "unlimited everything" but there's this limit that's hidden from plain sight and you have to know what you're looking for in order to find it being mentioned in the knowledgebase. And newbies are not aware of these limits, so....

2) they give free SSL for the first year only, and if you want your sites to be secured (https instead of http) starting with year 2 you must pay $8 per year, per site. If you can afford paying the extra $8 per year, per site, to have your domain name say https instead of http, that's fine I guess. But I didn't like it.

Conclusion: Namecheap is pretty good overall if you're not fussy like me

If you ever going to go for Ezoic for ads, don't even go near to Namecheap. They don't support/whitelist Ezoic ips and it's one hell of a pain in the ass.

Other than that, they are quite cheap and nice hosting.

I have one of my websites with them, using the cheapest plan. Yesterday, one of my blog posts got around 3,000 hits from reddit(unexpected). The host was up, and they didn't throttle me. I guess that's ok.

I've been using Namecheap hosting since almost 2 years & it is as smooth as butter (no problems). And they accept Bitcoin.

Their support system is good and I didn't experience any down time before.

Only thing I don't like is their renewal and billing system.
You won't have lot of options in this segment.

Apart from that its pretty decent I can say.

Just use cloudfare for free SSL.

The best way to find out - try them. I believe they have something like moneyback guarantee, so you can consider that period as time for testing.

yes they are fine. i am using them for all my sites

Own some domains through them. Used to host all sites with them as well. Very cheap, and great for small sites.

Recently, I migrated my sites to Namecheap, It's really nice and gets quick support.

Yeah agree, cheap and cheerful and suit a lot of people. I have my main sites on WPX and Siteground, but this is fine for test sites.

Go for it but once site starts gaining traction then move over to wpx or Hostarmada
