Namecheap to Namecheap transfer Question

Hey Guys!

I just made deal with one of my friends to sell one of my .io domain . Should he renew the domain when I transfer to him right now? Another 8 Months left for renewal

Or he just need to pay the renewal fee after 7-8 months? He is kinda tight on budget.

Please help guys. pardon me for my bad english

When you are moving domain from one account to another as you are doing right now, there is no need for additional payment to be made like when you do transfer for example from namecheap to namesilo and you change domain name registrar.

I bought a site from someone last year, renewed it after it had been pushed but somehow the domain hasn't still gone through. Bloody nightmare.

Have you tried to hit up NC live chat and have them sort things out? They are very polite in most of the cases very helpful and sort out issues in about 30 mins or less in my experience.

Yeah I spent 2 hours to-ing and fro-ing with them just to pay for the renewal.

Ouuuh sorry to hear that. I've never had issues with their push system and I've been using it a lot from like 2008/2009. or so...
