I'm having an issue with my account on namecheap, my account is locked an i can't reset my password.
Now my website is offline and i can't update the nameservers because of the locked account
I'm waiting 2 days for an answer from the so called "Risk Management team" !!!
When i write to the live chat support they just say we labelled your ticket prioritozed and:
So they're not responsible if your site is offline and you dont have access to your domains
I labelled my ticket as Critical and as much as i know a critical ticket should be resolved in 1 hour and maximun 2 hours, but they dont give a damn about if its labelled Critical or Low!

So I don't reccomend using Namecheap( I dont have anything againt them, this is just my opinion about they sh*tty support), maybe domains are a bit cheaper but I would pay some cents more than waiting 2 days for some monkeys to answer my tickets.

Why did it get locked in the first place.. Seems odd, i've mostly had positive experience with namecheap

I've never had any problems with their other support teams. If your case is handled by the risk management people then expect delays, though - the 2 times I ever had to deal with them, they replied with a considerable delay (like, 4-6 days between replies). Risk management means that they will look at everything about your account and you. It's not as simple as reactivating it if they had serious enough reason to lock it.

I think someone tried multiple times with wrong password and that was the reason why account is locked.
Well for me its not the best experience... its the worst support that i've had to do with

    Are you sure?

If someone tried your account multiple times using a wrong password it will be locked for 24 hours.

They will notify you if your account is locked when you input your right password.

I think what happend to you is you log in your namecheap account with wrong password multiple times and then after you saw the locked account message you tried to reset your password.

    Is that right?
