On July 1st, 2013, the price of .NET and .ORG domains is going up as a result of cost increases by PIR (Public Internet Registry) and VeriSign. As a result, we are put in the unfortunate situation of raising our costs to $11.48 for both .ORG and .NET top level domains. To help you save before pricing increases, we're offering two back-to-back deals. With each new deal, pricing will go up, but you will still be able to take advantage of a great savings before the increase.

You can get a discount from now til the end of the month.

Will you be keeping your domains with Namecheap? For me yes, I am staying with Namecheap.

Update: For renewals use WGSPECIAL for 0.99$ Whois renewal

Thanks for the info. I'm Staying with them even after the price change for their free "Whois Guard". In the end still cheap.

I've been registering domains like a madman recently for both myself and others, all at Namecheap. Hadn't seen this news but it looks like less than a dollar increase and remains competitive for .nets with GoDaddy - .orgs will be cheaper but I don't bother with them. Free Whois protection and the convenience of having all the domains in one place means yes, I'll be staying with them for quite a while unless there's like a 50% price increase.

I'd stick with Namecheap.. been good for me.

You can use code: WGSPECIAL for 0.99$ Whois renewal :)
