    I have a number of domains that forward using simple forwarding and more complex iframe redirects to the merchant.

    ... but today, at least for the past 12hrs, all of my redirects just HANG and time out. Anyone know whats going on with Namecheap?

    I did a dig on my domains and they all have an ip address of 66.252.1.36.

    If your doing redirects to the merchant via Namecheap you better test those domains. All mine are dud.

    Its interesting that when i looked at all the domains hosted on 66.252.1.36 there are no namecheap domains on that server. In fact, it has a few porn and movie sites on it.

    WTF is up with that?

    Here is the error my redirected domains get;

    ERROR: The requested URL could not be retrieved ERROR

    The requested URL could not be retrieved

    The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL:
    Connection to 66.252.1.36 failed.
    The system returned: (110) Connection timed out
    The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.

    WOW! I pulled these people into chat and i was told;

    OUR DNS SERVERS ARE OVERLOADED!

    Switch your domains to V1. That fixed it but how unreliable is that? Down all days, lost sales due to Namecheap. I think ill move those domains to my own server and do a 301 redirect. At least i wont be relying on Namecheap to forward my domains anymore due to Overloaded nameservers.
